HOT Mommy Style: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez, 42, has beautifully transformed from her days as “Jenny on the Block” to being considered one of the hottest Mommy’s on the block. Giving birth to twins Max and Emma didn’t steal her sexiness at all. Of course Jen probably has tons of help managing it all but; you can be a hot mommy, too! Here's how...

Get Jennifer’s Look:

• Create the appearance of sun kissed skin by using a bronzer
• Keep a good conditioning mascara on hand for healthy, long eyelashes
• Wear nude lip gloss – we recommend Go Bare by Laugh SHINE Repeat, $16
• Embrace accessories – hoop earrings, big sunglasses and lots of bling

STRAIGHT FROM THE PROS: Creating The Perfect Nude Lip For Women of Color

By now, you probably have gotten the memo; Nude lips are “in”! (Smiles) However, if you’re a women of color and confused about how to perfect the trend for yourself, look no more. Leading Make-up Artist, Sam Fine and and two of the best beauty resources for women of color have generously offered tips –just for you.

Sam Fine: With nude lips “the eyes must be strong. I achieve this look by applying black liner, brown shimmering shadows and at least two coats of mascara on both top and bottom lashes!”

AfroBella.com: The perfect nude should match your skin tone almost perfectly, covering over any slight discoloration your lips may have. A touch of shimmer or gloss amps up the look, but subtle beauty is the watchword. How can you tell that you’ve found your perfect nude? If you try it on the back of your hand, it should almost completely disappear, leaving only slight, pretty shine to let you know where it is. The perfect “nude” lippie for a brown skinned bella might be a warm rose pink, it might be bronze, it might even be a plum or berry, or a deep, fabulous brown.

Shefall at Suite 101: Take a tip from professional make-up artists and use concealer on the lips, or mix this in with a lip color for a true nude shade. Look for dry concealer pencils to outline the whole lip line blending it back in to the face. This is a very sculptural look which emphasizes the contours of a full pout rather than just painting on color.

GO BARE: A Tammie Holland Favorite

Tammie Holland, creator of Laugh SHINE Repeat Glossware loves laughing and loves wearing neutral colored lip shades, like GO BARE. “Of course I adore every color in my gloss ware collection, but I can do so much with GO BARE,” Holland says. “Sometimes I pair my GO BARE lip gloss with smokey eyes or hardly any shadow at all. It’s really a gem of a color."

GO BARE is a sheer, warm mid-tone nude colored lip gloss with soft SHINE and incredible staying power. Women who enjoy wearing nude lips overwhelmingly choose GO BARE over any other Laugh SHINE Repeat neutral color. It's one of the brand's top sellers.

Tammie Holland, who is also co-host of the “The Tony Scott Show” radio program on Clear Channel station KMJM-FM, likes to choose her lip gloss based on her mood – not just her attire. “I believe in the importance of surrounding myself with inspiration at all times,” she says with a chuckle. “My lip gloss inspires me. Sometimes a particular color or its name gives me energy for the day ahead.”

GO BARE was the color Holland chose to wear on the short video clip below. “Just like the color of the gloss, my on air delivery is slightly transparent and I always try to shine,” she says. “Jumping in and out of character or simply speaking my mind is much easier to do when I am being true to myself.” Holland pauses and says with a huge smile, “I think my radio listeners enjoy me most when I let go and GO BARE! So, I try to do it as often as possible!”

GO BARE: NUDE LIPS ARE STILL “IN”

Actress Michelle Williams looked INCREDIBLE on the Red Carpet at the 2011 Academy Awards. While many of her peers embraced bold lip color, Williams kept it soft and neutral.

TIP: When re-creating her look at home, remember to keep the skin smooth and clean and the eyes smokey and bold. Take a page from Williams’ look and choose a near match blush for your cheeks. See Laugh SHINE Repeat’s Go Bare lip gloss for the perfect neutral pout! ($16, laughshinerepeat.com)
