Homemade Laugh SHINE Repeat for the Little Ones!

Sharing your lip gloss with a little one for a moment of dress up play is cool, but doing it everyday can get expensive. So, don’t do it! (Smiles) Make some lip gloss for the little one in your life and have fun!

Here’s all you’ll need:

• Vegetable Shortening
• Kool-Aid/Flavored Drink Mix
• Glitter
• Microwave Safe Bowl
• Contact Lens Caps/Small Containers

Directions:

Combine 2 tablespoons of vegetable shortening with 1 tablespoon of Kool-Aid/Flavored Drink Mix. We recommend using a flavored drink mix with a touch of sweetener and lots of color! It's more FUN that way! ;)

Mix well until the flavored drink mix takes on the color of the vegetable shortening. If the color of the mixture isn't what you'd like, simply add a few drops of natural food coloring.

Scoop well mixed shortening into a bowl safe for the microwave. Heat for 10 to 15 SECONDS. You just want to melt the shortening. Don’t over heat it! ;)

Before safely pouring the melted shortening into a contact lens cap or another type of small container, add a few drops of glitter if you like! Allow the mixture to stand in the refrigerator until firm.

Decorate the contact lens caps/small containers with more glitter, stickers or paint! There are paints made especially for plastic. Just head over to your favorite craft store for supplies! Have fun!
